Jeonju University (President Jinbae Park) announced that it successfully hosted the 'Jeonbuk State Job Fair for International Students' at the Harim Mission Hall of Star Center on June 27. The event aimed to support international students' employment and alleviate the labor shortage faced by local businesses.

This fair was attended by over 600 international students from more than 10 domestic universities and 26 companies from Jeonbuk State.

This fair, organized by Jeonju University following a tripartite agreement signed in May between Jeonju University, the National Research Foundation of Korea, and Jeonbuk State, is the first of its kind to be held among the RISE pilot regions. It was hosted by the Ministry of Education, Jeonbuk State, and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.

The event was supported by the RIS University Education Innovation Center, and involved six other organizations including the National Research Foundation of Korea. Several officials attended, including Sungmin Park, Director General for Planning and Coordination at the Ministry of Education, Jonghoon Kim, Vice Governor for Economic Affairs of Jeonbuk State, and Jinbae Park, President of Jeonju University.

President Jinbae Park expressed, "I hope this job fair becomes a valuable opportunity for international students to demonstrate their capabilities and pursue their dreams. The diverse cultural backgrounds and language skills that international students possess are vital assets that will greatly aid their future plans in the global market."

Tran Huong, a graduate of the Finance and Insurance Department at Jeonju University from Vietnam, shared, "I was preparing for employment after graduating from Jeonju University. This job fair was extremely helpful as I got to experience real interviews with Korean companies and received detailed visa consultation."

Ayub from Uzbekistan, who completed his master's in Trade at Jeonbuk University, stated, "The job fair was immensely beneficial as it allowed me to gather information about various companies in one place, and I could apply to seven companies at the same time today. It would be great if such opportunities were more frequent."

The job fair featured on-site job consultations and one-on-one interviews between companies and international students. Additionally, a variety of consultations and services related to labor, finance, and residency were provided. The fair also included booths for interview makeup, resume writing, and free photo sessions to help international students immediately address document and interview issues on-site.
