Parma University, (Italy with a thousand years of history, 길면 생략) visiting Jeonju University

- Institute of International Exchange lays foundation for Jeonju University students to enter Europe -

Jeonju University (President Park Jin-bae) announced that officials from Parma University in Italy visited Jeonju University on the 28th (Wednesday) to strengthen mutual exchange and cooperation.

Professor Mario Beneziani of Parma University's Food Economics Department and Professor David Barvanti of Food Science visited Jeonju University to discuss the specific implementation of the memorandum of understanding (MOU) on exchange programs between students and professors signed in May 2023.

During this visit, Parma University invited Jeonju University to the Blended Project, which is being jointly conducted with the EU, and Jeonju University introduced the English track currently in operation, opening the opportunity for Parma University students to visit Korea.

Parma University, Italy, is a historic university established in the 11th century and is in exchange with a major university in Seoul in Korea, and visited Jeonju University to expand exchange universities in Korea.

Professor Mario Beneziani said, "I visited Jeonju University for the second time for detailed cooperation, and Parma University hopes to grow with Jeonju University as an important partner."

Shim Young-guk, head of the International Exchange Center, responded, " Through the exchange, Jeonju University is currently expanding its English community, so if students from Parma University come to Jeonju University, it will be a good opportunity to experience true Korea without language barriers."

Meanwhile, Jeonju University is planning a variety of cooperation programs through this exchange, including exchange students and exchange professors from Parma University and undergraduate and graduate courses, and plans to make it an important opportunity for students to experience Italy and Europe. In addition, Jeonju University is expanding its English community and building globalization with the region.
