Jeonju University, Jeonbuk Regional University PSST Start-up Simulation United Camp’s Completion


Jeonju University (President Park Jin-bae) Start-up Education Center announced on the 31st that it successfully completed the‘Jeonbuk Regional University PSST Start-up Simulation Camp’ for 43 university students interested in starting a business.

The event, held by a coalition of eight universities in Jeollabuk-do, aimed to develop business ideas based on each team’s concepts, allowing students from these universities to strengthen their start-up capabilities and produce and present promotional posters for their ideas.

Eight universities in North Jeolla Province: Chonbuk National University, Jeonju University, Wooseok University, Wonkwang University, Jeonju Vision University, Gunsan National University, Korea Agricultural and Fisheries University, and Jesus University.

The camp, which took place over one night and two days from the 30th to the 31st, was organized based on PSST (Problem, Solution, Scale-up, Team) standards, which have become the standard for recent start-up business plans, including those by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Start-up Promotion Agency.

The detailed steps included: [1] Business team building for moving startups, [2] Start-up trends and item search & selection, [3] Establishing start-up ideas and business models, [4] Promoting start-up items and conducting a practice-oriented start-up camp.

Kang Byung-cheon, a student at Jeonju University (Smart Media Department), who participated in the camp, said, “The way each team became an investor and wrote a letter of intent to invest in the presented items was really new. I want to further develop the idea we created using an idea canvas by participating in Jeonju University’s Start-up Education Center programs.”

Kim Ki-jung, head of the Center for Entrepreneurship Education, said, “We will continue to operate various programs so that our students can continually discover start-up opportunities.”
