Jeonju University Successfully Holds a Creation Camp for Universities in Jeonbuk Region

Jeonju University (President Park Jin-bae) announced that it has successfully completed the job creation camp for the Jeonbuk Regional University.

Hosted by Jeonju University and jointly organized by Wooseok University and Jeonju National University of Technology, the “Jeonbuk Regional University Association Creation Camp”was held at the Mohang Haenaru Family Hotel from May 31 to June 1. This event was a creative idea contest using design thinking, and about 50 students from Wooseok University, Jeonju National University of Technology, and Jeonju University participated.

The camp was designed to cultivate the creative thinking and problem-solving skills of college students. It applied the design thinking methodology to suggest innovative job creation ideas that could respond to future changes in the professional society based on their majors. Participants formed teams to derive, develop, and present their ideas.

Various creative ideas were proposed during the competition, with participants engaging in heated discussions and collaborations to present original and feasible concepts. Additionally, awards were given to teams presenting the most creative and innovative ideas. One grand prize, two first prizes, and three second prizes were awarded, providing motivation to participants and an opportunity to recognize the potential of their creative ideas.

Professor Shin Sook-kyung, head of the University Job Plus Center, said, “Through this job camp, students not only learned how to collaborate and think creatively, but also had the opportunity to develop ideas that could be practically applied in society. Jeonju University will continue to support young people in taking the lead in designing the future in cooperation with the local community.”
