Jeonju University Job Plus Center, Holding JJ Job Mentoring Day to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the school

Jeonju University (President Park Jin-bae) Job Plus Center celebrates its 60th anniversary by establishing a network between graduate job incumbents and current students, and organizing JJ Job Mentoring Day (mentoring for new job incumbents) to promote future-oriented career exploration and design on May 1 (Wednesday).

Under the theme of “Time to Explore New Jobs,” the event invited current mentors (6 jobs) from △ Safety/Environment △ Advanced Science/Technology △ Business Services to provide vivid information on new jobs and job sites to young people preparing for employment in related fields.

The job mentoring event consisted of various activities, including ▲ company and job introduction by the incumbent mentors ▲ job preparation strategies ▲ Q&A sessions with senior professionals. It served as a platform for active communication, with over 100 students and local young people participating and exchanging questions about new jobs and information on the actual job preparation process.

Park Jae-hyun, a senior in business administration who participated in the JJ Job Mentoring Day commemorating the 60th anniversary of the school, said, “The seniors provided firsthand information and know-how, which was extremely helpful in preparing for employment.” He added, “It was a great opportunity to broaden my career horizon and learn about new fields beyond my department-related career.”

Shin Sook-kyung, director of the Center for Job Plus, said, “In celebration of the 60th anniversary of the school, we made efforts to recruit new job mentors who can provide insights into career and employment opportunities due to the technological advancements brought about by the 4th Industrial Revolution. We plan to continue expanding programs to foster exploration of new jobs and raise awareness of future career changes, enabling students to learn about various career paths.”
